PTtank generates All required Load Cases. These are:
Gravity Loads, which are:
Temperature Loads, which are:
Temperature increase through wall (Default of 30° C)
Temperature increase through wall (Default of 20° C) Moisture Variation Loads, which are:
Earth Pressure Loads
This applies to Embedded Tanks only Earthquake Loads - Acting on Soil
This applies to Embedded Tanks only |
Hydrostatic Loads, which are:
Earthquake Loads - Acting on Retained Liquid
Vertical Stressing Loads
This applies to Vertically Stressed Tanks only Horizontal Stressing Loads.
Four Cases are part of the Horizontal Stressing Loading Group
The aim of the Stressing Order is to minimize the resulting moments in the wall. There are many permutations and combination, but economics must be taken into account. PTtank, uses as a default, the most efficient and economic stressing sequence, established over many designs. The user of course can define his own. |
